It would help some of us that cannot contribute much, but can make small changes consistently over time to have a more open repo than subversion.
Please consider moving to a distributed repository, like one based on git (like what these guys use: Linux Kernel, Perl, Gnome, Ruby on Rails, Android, Debian…).
